Technology is changing how we live, work, and relate to one another, but interaction design goes beyond screens and interfaces. At IxD.ma, we design interactions between people, systems, services, and environments. By focusing on human needs, behaviours, and values, we shape meaningful experiences while being mindful of social, cultural, and ecological contexts.
IxD.ma is hands-on and project-driven. You learn by doing: working on real challenges with industry and public-sector partners, guided by experienced design practitioners. Along the way, you develop not only practical skills, but also a designer’s mindset: how to frame problems, work with complexity, collaborate, and make informed design decisions.
IxD.ma is an international programme with cohorts of just 12 students, enabling close mentorship and strong personal focus. The curriculum is designed as a coherent whole, where courses build on each other and support your development over time, academically, professionally, and personally. Based in Tallinn at EKA’s new campus, the programme includes fieldwork and collaborations across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
